Moved in! (Sort of)
So, it begins!
We have the Meadows Gallery all to ourselves! We had a productive first day on Thursday, August 5th, and are now waiting on some sponsors to help with our materials.
This weekend will include a lot of Craigslisting, and a lot of scouting for more sponsors.
So far;
Rahr Brewery will be providing drinks for both the 26th and 27th performances!
Hot Box Pizza of Denton will be providing food on the 26th!
We are waiting to confirm a few more sponsors.
If you know someone who owns a small business, and feel like they would be interested in supporting our show, then shoot John an email at JMOsburn@gmail.com with the name and contact information of the business. We are offering ad space in our program for an incredibly affordable price and could use all the support we can get!

Not entirely sure what Tim is doing in this...
Remember when I advertised that we needed a videographer? After watching this, you'll see why. Mainly, I don't like working a camera.
We'll hit you up again in a few days.

"Half Empty" at Hub Shorts Film Festival
Hello everyone,
If you are unsure what kind of whacky hijinks to get into this Friday night, July 9th, then just mosey on over to the Dallas Hub Theater for the first ever Hub Shorts Film Festival. The festival features 10 short films produced by local DFW visual artists, including John Osburn's short "Half Empty."
If anything, the main reason to go is for the cupcakes and director Q/A immpediately following the showing.
So, come out for a night of "10 artists, 10 films, and 1 perfect evening of cupcakes and good art."

Meadows Move-In in 39 Days!
Hello everyone!
Well, John is in Durham, North Carolina playing for the American Dance Festival, and is about to move back to Austin for a month;
Lily just returned from Italy and is kickin' it with Big Rig Dance Collective for the next month;
And Tim is working with artist Vernon Fisher and getting ready to teach art for Tarrant County College's Upward Bound Program in July.
"Enough Room" is officially only 2 months away! Greater Denton Arts Council officially accepted our Exhibit Proposal and even pushed our move-in date 4 days earlier to August 5, 2010.
Now, since the focus is on providing a variety of art to the northern DFW community, we are not only encouraging people to come view the exhibit on August 26th/27th, but also come visit the Meadows Gallery during the building of our exhibit. From August 5th - August 25th, we would like to open our doors for anyone to view our artistic process and the construction of our gallery. We feel the construction of this exhibit is just as important as the actually exhibit showing at the end of the month, in that it shows members of the community coming together to create a space devoted to the appreciation of art in Texas.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for people to help with the construction of this exhibit. This includes people to volunteer time to help build walls, construct rooms, and paint them, people to offer tools and materials (hand tools, electric tools, lumber, doors, leftover paint, etc...), as well as people to take pictures or video of the construction (please specify on form). In return for hours/materials, we will give each volunteer a piece of the exhibit (TBD) to keep in remembrance of this momentous occasion.
If you are interested, complete this form, and email it to JMOsburn@gmail.com.
To give you all a heads up on what to expect, here is a list of acts booked in our sideshow:
Overall, it is going to be an amazing program. Once again, just shoot the completed form to John if you are interested in volunteering in ANY way.
Thank you and we will let you know when new things begin to surface!
